Erin Alesi, MD receivied her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and completed her residency and fellowship and Virginia Commonwealth University.  Her clinical interests include Lung Cancer and Head and Neck Cancer as well as Supportive Care and Palliative Care.  She is well published and some of her publications include articles titled, “Integrating Palliative Care Into Oncology Care: Confronting the Barriers” and “Palliative Care and Oncology Partnerships in Real Practice.”


 

Kathlene DeGregory, PharmD, BCOP is the clinical pharmacist for the Stem Cell Transplant program at University of Virginia Health where she has practiced in Oncology for over 20 years. Her primary practice site is the ambulatory Stem Cell Transplant clinic. She received her BS Pharm and PharmD degrees from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and Temple University respectively. Dr. DeGregory enjoys precepting PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents and well as pharmacy students. She is the founding program director for the PGY2 oncology residency program and served as RPD from 2011-2020.  Her interests include cellular therapies, hematologic malignancies, and quality improvement.

 

Leah Edenfield, PharmD, BCOP, CPP is an oncology clinical pharmacist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC. She specializes in lymphoma and currently works with adult inpatient oncology services. Leah is also a clinical pharmacist practitioner with the stem cell transplant and cellular therapy team. She graduated from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and then completed her PGY1 residency at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA and PGY2 oncology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, VA. Leah is originally from Virginia Beach and enjoys traveling to the beach often.

 

Cambree Fillis, PharmD, BCOP earned her Bachelors of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University. She continued on to complete a post-graduate year one (PGY1) and post-graduate year two (PGY2) residency in oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH), where she now serves as an oncology clinical pharmacy specialist. In her current role, she supports the inpatient medical oncology team and serves as a facilitator and preceptor for the JHH PGY2 oncology residency program.

 

Danielle Roman, PharmD, BCOP is the manager for oncology clinical pharmacy services at the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her practice is focused on cancer care for a large ambulatory medical oncology practice. She has served as adjunct clinical faculty for Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and lectures at the University of Pittsburgh School Of Pharmacy. Dr. Roman received her doctorate of pharmacy from the Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy and completed her post-graduation residency training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where she specialized in oncology pharmacy. She is the residency program director for the PGY2 oncology residency program at Allegheny General Hospital. Her research and scholarly activities focus on breast cancer pharmacotherapy, supportive care for individuals with cancer and multiple comorbidities, and oral anticancer agents.

Amanda Sharps, PharmD, BCOP currently practices in the Cellular Immunotherapy and Transplant Clinic at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. She completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at the University of Cincinnati in 2018 followed by 2 years of post-graduate residency training at VCU Health. Amanda began her carrier working in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Ambulatory Clinic for 2 years at VCU Health before transitioning to her current role. She is an active member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist Association (HOPA) and American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. Through these platforms, she has presented research projects and continuing education activities.

 

Leslie Ward, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP is a clinical pharmacist at University of Virginia Health in Charlottesville, VA. She received a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She worked as a hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist at UVA for over a decade before transitioning to her current role in ambulatory non-malignant hematology clinics, including the UVA Health Adult Hemophilia Treatment Center, in 2018. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ward is an adjunct clinical professor for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy.
