Amanda Sharps, PharmD, BCOP

Amanda Sharps, PharmD is a board certified oncology pharmacist who currently practices in the Ambulatory Hematology and Oncology Clinic at VCU Health in Richmond Virginia. Her primary practice areas are GI malignancies and Lymphoma. She completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at the University of Cincinnati in 2018 followed by 2 years of post-graduate residency training at VCU Health. Amanda has also had experience working in the Leukemia & Lymphoma and Cellular Immunotherapy and Transplant Clinic at VCU Health before transitioning to her current role. This is her second time presenting at the Virginia Oncology Pharmacy (VAOP) meeting.


Dominique Smith, PharmD, BCOP

Dominique Smith, PharmD, BCOP currently practices as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist within the adult thoracic, head & neck, and sarcoma clinics at the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center in downtown Richmond, Virginia.  Prior to joining VCU in 2022, she completed her PGY1 and PGY2-oncology training at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and practiced for 3 years in New Orleans, Louisiana at The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at Ochsner Medical Center.  Her current practice includes disease state and supportive care management, EMR optimization, and pharmacy resident precepting. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, cooking, and trying new local restaurants.


Sarah Dawson, PharmD, BCOP

Sarah Dawson, Pharm.D., is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Oncology at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. In her role, she provides comprehensive pharmacotherapy management for hospitalized oncology patients, with a focus on optimizing treatment outcomes and ensuring patient safety. Dr. Dawson’s areas of expertise include inpatient oncology practice and the development and optimization of EPIC order sets to improve clinical workflows and standardize evidence-based care. She is dedicated to advancing oncology pharmacy services through interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and the integration of clinical informatics. Passionate about both patient-centered care and healthcare system improvement, Dr. Dawson contributes her knowledge to initiatives that enhance the quality and efficiency of oncology treatment delivery.


 Anthony Perissinotti, PharmD, BCOP

Anthony Perissnotti is a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist and Clinical Team Lead, Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan who rounds on and supports patients with acute leukemias daily. He conducts research in his area of expertise and has over 30 publications to date. He obtained his Pharm.D. at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, a PGY1 residency at the Detroit Medical Center - Harper University Hospital, and a PGY2 residency at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.


Alana Ferrari, PharmD, BCOP

Alana Ferrari is a malignant hematology and cellular therapies pharmacist specializing in lymphoma and myeloma. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania, her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her specialty pharmacy residency training at Duke University. She is a member of the Pharmacy Quality Committee and one of the founding members of the Bi-Specific T-cell Engager Committee. She participates in teaching and education initiatives throughout UVA as a preceptor and lecturer within the pharmacy residency programs, medical fellowship programs, the UVA School of Nursing, as well as VCU School of Pharmacy. Additional interests include cardio-oncology for which she has been an invited speaker at many conferences through the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Failure Society of America.


Kelsey Oberholtzer, PharmD

Kelsey Oberholtzer is an Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at HCA Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She completed both her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at VCU Health, where she gained extensive experience in the management of complex cancer therapies. Kelsey’s clinical interests include malignant hematology, breast cancer, and gynecologic oncology. She is passionate about optimizing patient outcomes through evidence-based, compassionate care and interdisciplinary collaboration in the oncology setting.
